"Everything, Everywhere & All at Once".....Pt.2

I mean, it's not like we haven't been preparing for this moment but let me tell you, when you see that semi rolling down the highway and then turning into the driveway (we are not talking about a small driveway by any means) and then, taking that turn in the field... everything just sort of stops for a (very long) moment. For us, it was something between a sigh of relief, a huge rush of excitement for what lies ahead and a fairly sizable "holy shit" moment all mixed into one! It was really the most amazing feeling!

It was the first really big milestone for our little leafy dream, the foundation in a lot of ways, and we were doing it together.

I think everyone enjoyed the moment with us, even our amazing driver, Lee, seemed pretty excited about our little set up! ( he was AMAZING and if you ever need a great guy to do haul for you in Iowa, get ahold of Nick or I and we can get you the info!) LOOK AT THESE PICTURES!!! I can't speak for Nick on this one but personally, I can't even begin to put into words all of the excitement and just pure pride in the simple accomplishment of actually taking this leap towards our leafy dream together brought me Saturday morning!

Truthfully, we were both so excited, we spent the little three day weekend we had camping on the site! We went down Friday evening so we could wake up and enjoy every moment of our delivery day and then we got to spend the rest of the weekend working by day and enjoying each others company by a fire, listening to music, looking up at beautiful stars by night. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to bring our little farm home and although we have so much work in the weeks ahead, we couldn't be more excited to be on this journey together and to be able to share it with all of you!

So many more stories to tell from this weekend, but for tonight- bed.
