I've Lovingly Nicknamed This Chapter "Chaos Mode"

And Thank goodness for planners, when my body decides to catch up with my brain I will need to go back and study up on everything we did and forgot about during this time. Moral of the story? Planners.

Best part: my planner is only part 1 of a 3 part process I use to track the life cycles of our plants, the water we are using, the timing between harvests, and all things related to bringing our produce to our community, it is my brain on paper and the story of the very beginning of the love story that taking our little leafy dream and turning into our very leafy reality has been and will continue to grow into, as long we we vow to never stop chasing our dreams.

As silly as it may sound, This story of ours, of bringing this business to life is a love story all on it's own. I could easily sit here and tell you how Nick and I became best friends, shoulders for each other to lean on and eventually fell in a love that makes it next to impossible for me to picture a life without him... But the story of Leafy, is just two people, who needed to put their souls into something they loved, something that brought people together, something to allow them to grow within themselves as well as in their community, and share one of the purest forms of love; to feed them,

Now, that's enough of the silly love songs.. We're here to talk about chaos. In our world, chaos simply means, gratitude. Stay with me here! Chaos is walking into your farm and seeing upwards of 1500 plants that need either to be trimmed or harvested, 1000 seedlings sprouting at what must be the speed of sound because it feels like we blink and these babies are ready to move up from the first step of the seedling nursery to the next, followed immediately by more plants ready to be transplanted into the new towers. Chaos is finally reaching the part where we get to deliver samples of our (seriously) amazing produce to our family and friends, restaurants and local markets, and finally, finalize our product list and officially open for business!!

Which mind you, is absolutely insane!

Chaos is magic for us right now! We are exhausted, we are working day and night trying to make everything as perfect as can be, we are testing ourselves and each other on a daily basis, its likely safe to say we aren't always wildly fun to be around, but it is all just a dream! It is a dream we feel like we are just getting the first real "tastes" of!

It is a surreal feeling, watching your visions come to life. The knowledge we have gained over these past several months and the things we have grown from along the way just make it that much clearer that we are on the right path. We do hope you will all continue to grow with us. We hope we are able to share this amazing produce we have worked so hard to cultivate for you, and above all... and as always, we hope you all stay leafy!!!
